The Paper Chase, Pt. 1

I just spent a few hours sorting through my Mom's slightly filed files. We're looking at respite/rehab this week, and then possible (actually probable) nursing home care soon down the line. So I need to get together all my Mom's financial information. Man, I am wishing she hadn't been so antsy about the idea and had put the house in my name back when I first brought it up years ago. I was carrying my truck loan and some credit card debt at the time, and Mom got focused on the thought that if I defaulted on payments the creditors would come after the house. Oh, the irony.

I'm not up to any other blogging at the moment.
